Dr. Anne Belshan graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She and her husband share their home with 3 children, a dog, a Senegal parrot, a Russian tortoise, a guinea pig and too many fish to count.

In her spare time, Dr. Belshan enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, and reading. She has special interests in exotic pet medicine, behavior, and dermatology. Dr. Belshan loves the challenge and variety that meets her every day as a veterinarian.

Education: Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture & Florida Institute of Technology

In 2006, she moved to Colorado and worked in veterinary specialty
medicine in the areas of internal medicine, intensive care, hyperbaric medicine, and management for 14 years. While in Colorado, she became one of the first to be Board Certified in Veterinary Hyperbaric Medicine in 2016 by the National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Technology. Christina grew up on a farm in Northeast Nebraska and decided to return to her home state.

Christina loves all aspects of veterinary medicine but her
passions are management, clinical development, hyperbaric medicine, critical care, and internal medicine.

Christina lives in Blair with her husband and Chihuahua “Hermione”.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, party planning,
and spending time with family and friends. She is an advocate for 4-H and FFA and volunteers her time to be a 4-H judge across the state of Nebraska.

Dr. Sarah Roelofs, DVM

Special Interests- Avian & Exotic medicine, Internal Medicine, Behavior

Dr Roelofs graduated in 1991 from U of MN College of Veterinary Medicine. She spent the next 13 years at the Niles Animal Hospital seeing cats, dogs, birds & other creatures. The hospital is located in a Chicago suburb, and  is well known in Chicago for its avian & exotic patients.

In 2004, she & her husband moved to Omaha to be closer to his family while raising their 2 young sons. Over the past 10 years, Dr Roelofs has enjoyed working at several Omaha hospitals which allowed flexible scheduling, quality family time, and an opportunity to still treat birds and small mammals.

Dr Roelofs is excited to be part of the All Creatures Veterinary family as a full time member and looks forward to pursuing internal medicine interests, as well as behavior and avian medicine.

Besides her husband and 2 teenage sons, they presently share their home with only 2 dogs, and 1 bird- but that is always subject to change…

Dr Roelofs enjoys pet therapy visits to a local nursing home, reading, gardening & rock climbing; along with keeping up with her sons’ baseball, soccer and scouting activities.

Dr. Mary Sutherland, DVM

Education: Kansas State University
Special Interests:  Exotics and Companion Animal medicine

Dr. Mary Sutherland was born in Omaha and graduated from Roncalli Catholic High School in 1997.  She grew up riding horses, swimming and running. She ran track and cross country for Doane College in Crete, NE where she received her Bachelor’s degree.

Dr. Sutherland then attended Kansas State University for her veterinary degree. After graduation in 2005 she married and moved to North Pole, Alaska where she practiced for 7 years.

Dr. Sutherland has five boys, the older 3 were born in Alaska. She and her husband both enjoy the outdoors and running, as well as soccer and tennis. She also enjoys way too many crafts than she has time for, including leatherwork, scrapbooking, sewing and crochet.

They own a rescued Greyhound, 3 cats, 2 horses, and a bird.

Dr. Sutherland has moved back to Omaha to be closer to family. Her special interests are exotic and companion animal medicine.

 

Dr. Timothy Hotaling, DVM

Joined the Practice in June 2018
Education: Iowa State University

Dr. Hotaling started at All Creatures in June of 2018. He grew up in Nebraska and has lived here most of his life. Dr. Hotaling went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and obtained an undergraduate degree in Animal Science in 2008. He returned to UNL and received a Master’s in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences in 2015. During his Master’s work, Dr. Hotaling enrolled in veterinary school via the UNL/ISU shared veterinary medicine program, graduating in 2017.

Dr. Hotaling currently lives in Omaha with his wife and their two children. They have a corgi- mix named Abby. Dr. Hotaling enjoys spending time with his family, playing games, reading, and archery. He is especially interested in exotic pet medicine, dentistry, and ultrasound.

Megan is a veterinary technician and has her Associates Applied Science Veterinary Technology degree from Northeast Community College. She graduated in 2007. She grew up in Omaha and moved back here from Ohio. She is married and has 1 cat named Matty.

Cindy Mendonca, LVT

Education: Vatterott College

After retiring from the Air Force as a weather officer, Cindy returned to school at Vatterott College to earn an associate degree in Applied Science Veterinary Technology. Licensed as a veterinary technician since 2002, her special interest areas include helping owners with early puppy training, preventive health advice, and quality of life questions.

Cindy has been owned by dogs, cats, rats, and Guinea Pigs. She currently has the third, fourth, and fifth generations of her Bearded Collie line… Jolie, Kylie, and Dara. When off work, she can be found with the Beardies herding sheep, making therapy visits to an assisted living residence, and practicing Rally Obedience. She has titled her Beardies in herding, Rally obedience, and conformation. Along the way, Cindy became an AKC Herding Judge and is currently an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. She also enjoyed agility and dance training with the Beardies, but while the mind and heart were willing to continue, her knees were not

Emma is a pre-veterinary student who graduated from UNL with a bachelors in English. She was born in Omaha and has lived here her entire life. In her free time, she enjoys training her dog, playing board games, hiking, and caring for her 9 reptiles.
